taking on the challenge to read the entire bible was a very daunting decision.
what was i thinking?
good news: nichel and i are hauling.
we finally made it past numbers. *hallelujah*
that was some tough reading.
why there are chapters based solely on the "departing" and "pitching", the "removing" and "encampment" of the children of Israel in places like Dibon-gad and Hashmonah...i'll never know. but our efforts in reading have brought forth some great enlightenment.
("brought forth"?...who am i?..moses?...i'm speaking in scripture terms now!?...)
but seriously...my testimony is growing nightly.
it is incredible to see how much of what we are reading pertains to today.
270 pages down, 1,320 to go.
270 pages down, 1,320 to go.
some real gems from my reading:
"the Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God."exodus 15:2
"now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people." exodus 19:15
"the Lord your God, he shall fight for you." deuteronomy 3:22
"but ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive.." deuteronomy 4:4
"but if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all they soul..when thou art in tribulation and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days [last days], if thou turn to the Lord thy God and be obedient unto his voice; he will not forsake thee." deuteronomy 4: 29-31
"for thou art an holy people unto the Lord they God; the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are on the face of the earth" deuteronomy 7:6
"know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments.."deuteronomy 7:9
mmmhmmm thats right we be haulin!
