cause i need to know...

i am so happy right now (and a little sleepy, due to the hour...).
i don't know why i am so blessed to know the most amazing people.  i am so thankful for everything that has happened to me and for everything that has led me to where i am today.  i know the lord is always blessing me.  

i am continually catching my breath at the beauty and love that surrounds me.  my life is good.  not a day goes by that i don't see the lord's hand in my life.  i am almost done with my second semester of college and i can not believe how much i have learned and how much i have grown. i know i came here to hawaii for a reason and as the past months have unfolded, the reason has become apparent.  my testimony has grown so much.  i know without a doubt in my mind that people are placed in our lives for a reason and everything always works out.

for those of you who have never lived this far away from home: you may not understand this concept but, out here you become incredibly close to people in a matter of days.  it boggles even my mind.  tonight the gang said goodbye to our buddy sean.  it was a harsh realization because it was the first of many goodbyes that are soon to come.  sean is being deployed to afghanistan tonight and i can't get over how strong he is and i am so thankful for his example of dedication and love.  it is incredible to see how the lord places people in our life for a reason.  although i only met sean a few weeks ago, he has seriously been a brother to me and i have learned so much from him.  

again, i don't know how or why but for some reason i have been lucky enough to become incredibly close with these solid people.
