a few weeks ago, i submitted a photo that i took in ukraine to a literary journal that my school puts out. it wasn't anything special, but it held a lot of meaning to me.
lo and behold, it is was chosen to be published and for second place.
which means a prize of fifty bones for yours truly.
as my mom would say, that is better than a kick in the pants.
