it's official.  my major has been changed to international cultural studies with an emphasis in anthropology. i also have officially decided against a study abroad.  with my desire to graduate in a timely manor and to receive both my entrepreneurship and peace-building certificates, there isn't time for such travels.  i feel quite good about these decisions. i have also added another credit to my schedule and i'm thinking about adding another, which will put me at 17.  what am i thinking? i already have my work cut out for me.  here is the book list for just two of my classes:

the odyssey
Ramayana
god's bits of wood
frankenstein
vintage book of contemporary poetry
the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society
a tale of two cities
the kite runner
their eyes were watching god
the winters tale
life of pi

wish me luck.

i am also feeling confident in my decision to stay for spring semester.

again, wish me luck.

there are so many decisions to make and so little time to make them. i don't want anything to hold me back.  i am done worrying about things i can't control, finished thinking about things that don't matter.

tonight, in elder christofferson's CES fireside he talked about taking things day by day, one step at a time.  my new goal is to follow his advice and counsel.

"take it one day at a time. The Spirit can guide us when to look ahead and when we should just deal with this one day. To deal with something very big, we may need to work at it in small, daily bites."
