Write a post about something that is merely “good” but not “great”.

i fritter away my time blogging...which somehow makes this next post very ironic.

seeing as how my creativity flow is very limited, i had to research (yes, research) topics to write about.  how lame of a blogger am i?  pretty darn lame, if you ask me...

but, as i was doing so, i came across this topic, "Write a post about something that is merely 'good' but not 'great'".

...feel free to disagree with my list.

1. hershy's kisses are good, but hershy's hugs are just incredible.
2. a JBC from wendy's is yummy, but a burger from Kahuku Grill is the best thing that'll ever grace your taste buds.
3. the harry potter movies are decent...but, the books are pure bliss.
4. s'mores over the stove are fun but, s'mores over an open fire are fan-freaking-tastic.
5. texting may be more convenient...but, trust me, calling is better.

blah, blah, blah...you get the gist.

the main point of this entry is this: "never settle for mediocrity". 

(thank you mr. paul larsen for instilling that in my mind" *starts to pound piano*)

but honestly, why settle for something good when you can have the best?

why do we fill our time with menial tasks? 

how many times have you heard your friends say, "hold on, i have to check facebook."

i mean seriously? you have to?  life or death situation?...i'm not buying. 

the comment someone leaves on your new profile picture will still be there tomorrow.

...and the next day...and the day after that.

how many times do we settle with the guy who treats us poorly or the friends who end up stabbing us in the back?

why do we so often choose the cover of "boys of summer" by The Ataris when we could be listening to the original by Don Henley?
