i saw a shooting star tonight.

this past week has been my favorite week of the year.

my family is so stinking funny. 

two words: lake powell.

we played this game where we creatively named food items after characters from harry potter

(for example: hag-ribs, apple crumbridge, katy bell-gium quaffles, sirius-blackened chickened pasta and peeves and carrots)

we also played this game ryan came up with that involves coming up with the most horrible/ridiculous situations and asking if you would endure them for a deer valley cabin.

would you cut off all your toes....for a deer valley cabin?

would you eat salmon and only salmon for the rest of your life...for a deer valley cabin?

would you stand on top of the glen canyon dam bridge for an hour, unharnessed and without means of flotation...for a deer valley cabin?

i'll tell you what, you really get to know your limits playing this game.

we taught mom how to get onto the boat without using the ladder, i slalomed skied, court caught air, trevor executed some great dives, ryan made us laugh, and dad got a nice tan line across his forehead from his bandana.  

all-in-all, a very successful trip.
