this is my mom's jam, at least it was her jam until i clued her in on its references to hookers and its suggestions of prostitution. you should see her rock out to this number. it may be one of my favorite memories of her, always telling me to "play that mika song" and although the innuendoes are pretty blatant, i oblige.
anyway, it's her birthday and that is why i love today. she is the best mom a girl could ask for. i've never met a more kind, patient, loving, selfless women in my life. she is my best friend and the greatest example. i look up to her in so many ways. happy birthday mamma, i love you!
1. You totally just ruined that song for me! (Just kidding. I'm not that naive).
ReplyDelete2. Happy birthday to your mom!

i don't know what it is about mr. mika but i love him. could be the curls. i love a nice head of curls. but then he does that "L" thing with his hands and i die. maybe it's his teal skinny jeans that get me. whatever it is, i adore him. he's just a little goofy and i love it. alsooo that cafe scene needs to happen in my life. i definitely want a high school musical moment where everyone knows the moves and we dance & sing like it was meant to be. happppy birthday to your mom!
ReplyDeleteyour mom sounds awesome. hahaha. and that song despite its illusions is pretty awesome :)
