getting in touch with my roots

i am a little obsessed with anything vintage. a couple of years ago, my aunt bought this old house with plans to remodel it and rent it out.  she has vision (and lots of dedication) because, when she bought the house it was absolutely disgusting.  the man who had previously lived there was a wretched hoarder.  poodles made of brambles, jars of pickled who-knows-what, wood shavings...he had it all and he kept it all.  you could hardly walk or breath in the place it was so filthy, but like i said, she has vision and the house is looking amazing.  i really do aspire to be my aunt, in front of the house (and the old school  that came with it) she has placed a sign that says "opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and comes in work".

because of you, my assortment of vintage dresses has doubled.

i kind of detest having pictures taken of myself, but, we went on a drive up the canyon tonight and my little brother acted the role of photog and i the model in order to get a picture of my favorite dress.

the ride was so beautiful and i love spending time with my best friend, oh how i've missed him.
